One of Oxford’s many innovative technology firms is to move into two units totalling 8,000 sq ft at Abingdon Business Park.
Oxford nanoSystems has taken units 11 and 13 at Blacklands Way. The firm was previously at Harwell Science Park.
The new space includes an industrial unit with offices as well as a laboratory and test facility. A 10-year lease has been agreed with Patrizia which owns the 50-acre park.
The firm develops specialist coatings for various markets from electronics to the automotive industry.
Kim Sardar, fund manager and director at Patrizia, said: “This letting to Oxford nanoSystems is a fantastic example of how we are able to provide first class facilities for growing technology companies at Abingdon Business Park.
“Oxfordshire is rapidly becoming a world class centre for this kind of firm and we are delighted to be able to accommodate such an exciting and innovative business, ensuring home grown ventures remain within the county.”
Oxford nanoSystems will complete its move once a full, purpose-built fit-out of its new home has been completed.
Dr. Alexander Reip, chief executive of Oxford nanoSystems, said: “Scaling quickly this year we are delighted to be able to move into a purpose fit out facility which has room for future expansion and great road connections as we begin our first major steps to commercialisation.”
